<p>The invention concerns a method for connecting a mobile terminal (STA) to an IP network via a radio access point (AP). Following a searching step (P_Req), (P_Rep) and for each radio access point (AP) locally associated with an external IP agent (FA) forming an accessing pair n{AP + FA}, the method consists in transmitting to the mobile terminal (STA) an information message (P_A), including at least the IP address of the external agent (FA), then after determining the selection of the accessing and authenticating pair (A_R), (A_S), inhibiting transmission by the radio access point (AP), then by the mobile terminal (STA) of an association response message respectively an OSI level 3 message to an external IP agent, transmitting from the mobile terminal (STA) to the radio access point (AP) of the selected accessing pair an association request (R_Req) and an association registration request (R_Reg) containing the registration data, transmitting from the external agent (FA) to the home agent (HA) of the mobile terminal (STA) a registration request (Req_Reg) and upon reply of registration (Reg_Rep), transmitting from the external IP agent (FA) to the mobile terminal (STA) an association response message (R_Rep). The invention is useful for optimizing connection between WiFi mobile terminals.</p> |
