PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stage moving device able to preclude a stage from vibration effectively, a stage accelerating method for the stage moving device, and an image recording device. SOLUTION: A stage moving device is equipped with a synchronizing belt 31 coupled with a stage 13, a motor 32 to tow the stage 13 through the belt 31, and a motor controller 33 to control the motor 32. In this stage moving device, the accelerating time for the stage 13 to a specified speed is made approx. integer times as large as the period of the vibration generated in the stage 13 when the belt 31 makes expansion and contraction. |
