<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a table display method in a way as to make each item of a chronological table easily visible in both of a zoom in display mode and a zoom out display mode and to facilitate the processing for chronological table data creation and chronological table display. <P>SOLUTION: In the zoom out display mode, the periods for several centuries are displayed as a time axis 5 by the chronological table data for the zoom out display, and the representative or characteristic items during these periods are displayed as an item section 6 in association to the time axis 5. In the zoom in display mode, a certain century is displayed as the time axis 5 by the chronological table data for the zoom in display and the representative or characteristic items of the period from the beginning to the end of the century as the item section 6 are displayed in association to the time axis 5. The same holds true in the case where the items relevant to the respective sections positioned on the time, spatial, categorical or ranking axis, other than the chronological table is displayed as a table. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
