METHOD AND UNIT FOR TRANSMITTING/RECEIVING FEEDBACK INFORMATION ON CHANNEL QUALITY IN ORTHOGONAL FREQUENCY DIVISION MULTIPLEXING SYSTEM USING MULTI-INPUT MULTI-OUTPUT TECHNOLOGY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and unit for efficiently feeding back channel quality information in a mobile communication system using orthogonal frequency division multiplexing and multi-input multi-output technologies. SOLUTION: This method relates to feeding back channel quality information in a receiver of an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing system using multi-input multi-output technology. This method comprises a step for measuring a channel quality for signals transmitted via multiple transmission antennas and sub-bands from a transmitter, a step for selecting a predefined number of sub-bands having optimal transmission performance with respect to each piece of destination code information based on the measured channel quality, a step for determining at least one sub-band group having a maximum transmission rate from the selected sub-bands and the destination code information and a step for transmitting feedback information with channel quality information on at least one sub-channel and the destination code information to the transmitter.
