PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical device which can uniformize stably the coating thickness of adhesives for fixing a laser holder and a lens holder, improve assembling property, and enhance the performance of focusing and irradiation position. SOLUTION: This light source device is provided with a laser holder 10 for holding a semiconductor laser S as a light source and a lens holder 20 for holding a collimator lens C for making laser beams parallel. The laser holder 10 has a step 16 on its cylindrical and outer peripheral surface, and the lens holder 20 has a step 22 on its cylindrical and inner peripheral surface. When the lens holder 20 and laser holder 10 are engaged with each other in the direction of the optical axis, a space is formed between the inner peripheral surface 23 of the lens holder 20 and the outer peripheral surface 17 of the laser holder 10 due to the steps on each holder, where the direction of light axis is limited and adhesives can be filled. |
