A digital image system is provided to transmit digital image data smoothly even though an external power of a transmission and reception-supplementing apparatus is weak or shut off. A digital image system comprises a host apparatus, a transmission and reception-supplementing apparatus, and a display apparatus. The host apparatus transmits digital image data to the display apparatus through the transmission and reception-supplementing apparatus. The transmission and reception-supplementing apparatus has a first power supply switch part(312) and a second power supply switch part(322). Each of the first and second power supply switch parts includes an external power input terminal, an internal power input terminal, a power output terminal, and a switch. The power input terminal is connected to one internal power line among communication lines between the host apparatus and the display device. The power output terminal outputs an external voltage from the external power input terminal and an internal voltage from the internal power input terminal. The switch is turned on if the external voltage is lower than a predetermined voltage. The external voltage is applied to the power output terminal while the switch is turned off, and the internal voltage is applied to the power output terminal while the switch is turned on.
