<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To decrease noise made when a flexible stirring member is separated from the inner wall of a toner storing means. <P>SOLUTION: The toner storing device has: the toner storing means in which developer is stored and which discharges the developer from a toner supply port 23; a flexible stirring member 60 which has a rotary shaft 62 provided in the toner storing means and held to be rotatable relative to the toner storing means and extends from the rotary shaft 62; and a rotary shaft drive means which temporarily decreases the rotational speed of the rotary shaft 62 before the stirring member 60 is separated from the inner wall of the toner storing means, and restores the rotational speed of the rotary shaft 62 after the stirring member 60 is separated from the inner wall of the toner storing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
