<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ambient light sensing circuit which can precisely sense ambient luminance to automatically adjust image luminance according to sensed ambient luminance, and which can be configured with a low-temperature crystallized polysilicon thin-film transistor, as well as to provide a flat panel display having the ambient light sensing circuit. <P>SOLUTION: The ambient light sensing circuit and the flat panel display having such a circuit comprise an optical receiver element which passes the current in proportion to the ambient light, a first capacitive element which is discharged in electrical connection with the optical receiver element after being charged with a first power supply voltage, a second capacitive element which provides the coupling voltage in electrical connection with the first capacitive element, and a transistor which passes the current from the first power supply voltage corresponding to the coupling voltage of the first capacitive element and the second capacitive element after connected to the second capacitive element. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
