PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an air cleaning device, easy in installation and absorbing contaminated air containing the smoke of tobacco, dust or the like effectively to purify the same without dispersing the same into neighbored space. SOLUTION: A frame work 2, whose lower surface and side surfaces are covered and having an upper air outlet port 9 across the whole of the upper surface substantially, is supported through a plurality of pieces of supporting pillars 1 to provide a space part in the lower part of the same while a fan 3, sucking and sending out air, near the space part and containing the smoke of tobacco, dust or the like, and a dust collecting unit 4, purifying the sucked air, are accommodated in the frame work 2, further, an opening unit 6, opened so as to be faced downward is provided at the center of the lower surface as the suction port of the fan 3 and a hanging ceiling 11, whose area is larger than the opening unit 6 and smaller than the whole area of the lower surface of the frame work, is provided below the opening unit 6. According to this method, air, sucked by the fan 3 through a space between the frame work 2 and the hanging ceiling 11, is purified through the dust collecting unit 4 and is discharged out of the upper air outlet port 9 to the outside of the frame work. |
