<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nonvolatile memory device and a nonvolatile memory system which can efficiently use a data area and enhance the reliability of read data, and to provide a method for controlling the nonvolatile memory device. <P>SOLUTION: The nonvolatile memory device 1 is provided with: a plurality of data areas 13 holding data; an ECC area 14 provided corresponding to each of the data areas 13 and holding an error correction code ECC with respect to the data held in the data area 13; an error correction code generation part 2 generating error correction codes ECC with respect to all the data held in the data areas and holding them in the ECC areas 14 according to an entered code generation command CMD; a detection circuit 15 detecting the generation of the error correction codes ECC; and a reading part 3 for correcting the data read from the data areas 13 by using the error correction codes ECC according to the detection operation of the detection circuit 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
