<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus including: an exposing means 3 used for irradiating a photosensitive drum 1 through a transmission member 30 with light and being located below a development roller 41; and a separating means 80 for bringing the photosensitive drum 1 and the development roller 41 into contact with each other and separating them, the apparatus being designed so as to prevent powder dust or toner from adhering to the transmission member 30. <P>SOLUTION: A cleaning means 31 for cleaning the transmission member 30 is moved in interrelation with an operation of the separating means 80, thereby cleaning the transmission member 30. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
