PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a connector that can prevent one connector from obliquely tilting and intruding into a hood portion when an erroneous fitting preventing rib abuts against the hood portion.SOLUTION: A connector is configured so that one connector 10 is fitted in a hood portion 44A of the other connector 40. An erroneous fitting preventing rib 22 and a pair of fitting ribs 21 are provided to the outer side surface of a housing 12 of the one connector 10 so as to project from the outer side surface. The erroneous fitting preventing rib 22 is put into a groove portion 47 provided to the inner side surface of the hood portion 44A at a correct fitting time when the one connector is about to be correctly fitted to the other connector 40 and abuts against the hood portion 44A at an erroneous fitting time when the one connector 10 is about to be erroneously fitted to the other connector 40. The pair of fitting ribs 21 are fitted to a pair of fitting grooves 48 provided to the inner side surface of the hood portion 44A both at the correct fitting time and the erroneous fitting time. At the erroneous fitting time, the pair of fitting ribs 21 are set to be fitted to the pair of fitting grooves 48 before the erroneous fitting preventing rib 22 abuts against the hood portion 44A.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8 |
