PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a distance relay system capable of reducing influences caused by momentary voltage drop by shortening a duration of a transmission line accident within a backup second-stage protection range if re-operation is performed in the case where trial charge is performed without removing the accident.SOLUTION: A distance relay system is configured to utilize an activation signal that is outputted by an automatic recovery device 2 and indicates that the automatic recovery device 2 is being operated, when a breaker 112 is operated that is installed in a power transmission line 110 and power transmission is stopped. The distance relay system comprises: a short-circuit distance relay element 1for detecting an accident that occurs in the power transmission line 110 within a backup second-stage protection range L2; and a signal processing circuit by which, if the short-circuit distance relay element 1detects an accident in the state where the activation signal is not being inputted from the automatic recovery device 2, an interruption signal is outputted towards the breaker after a predetermined time limit and if the short distance relay element 1detects an accident in the state where the activation signal is being inputted from the automatic recovery device 2, the interruption signal is outputted towards the breaker 112 with a time limit that is shorter than the predetermined time limit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
