PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cage for a ball bearing, and the ball bearing using the cage for the ball bearing, capable of reducing noise by suppressing entrainment of a lubricant into a pocket.SOLUTION: A cage for a ball bearing applies a ball guide system retaining a ball in a pocket 7 disposed while radially penetrating through an annular portion 6. Ball guide faces 14 are disposed on circumferential opposite parts at both sides opposed to each other in the circumferential direction, of an inner face of the pocket 7 to be positioned on an inner diameter-side part in the radial direction to be applied as a ball guide system. The ball guide faces 14 have the cross-sectional shape projecting into the circular arc shape to a pocket center axis side on a cross-section vertical to a bearing center axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12
