Brightness distribution correction for screen display unit - has matrix of image points associated with electronic light signal processing components

The matrix of image points receives at all the image points the same brightness control signal. The brightness distribution of the image points is detected by a photographic plate which is then placed as a negative in front of the screen. This negative thus has at points of stronger illumination a weaker light transmittance and thereby causes the brightness correction. Too large or too small brightness of individual image points is compensated. The period of exposure of the plate must be such that the negative is largely clear and transparent at points of normal brightness.
