<p>The surfaces of press plates are cleaned and deoxidised before use in highly-accurate presses as dies for mfg. panels or boards made of composite laminates; mica sheet decorative panels; resin-bonded paper; Pertinax (RTM); or Cu-base laminates. The boards may also be treated by the process. The plates are fed through a gap between one or more brush rolls and >=1 pressure rolls, arranged in a row, the brush rolls being located above and below the plates. The plates may be wet or dry when treated, and then travel into a second station for cooling or drying, and for spraying a sepg. - and cleaning - agent onto the plates. When boards are treated by the process, they may be transferred to a room using a controlled atmos., in which a layer of metal is deposited on the boards. One pref. plant consists of a housing contg. pairs of guide rolls through which the plates are aligned before travelling past wire brushes which e.g. remove particles of plastic off the plates, before the latter are sprayed. Used e.g. for cleaning dies used in mfg. printed circuit boards; or cleaning the actual boards.</p> |
