Meat band saw machine - with thrust strip for carriage convertible to flat extension table

A band saw machine for food, esp. fresh and frozen meat, has a carriage with a thrust strip by which the food can be urged against the saw blade up to a strop. The thrust strip can be turned from the vertical to a horizontal position so that it acts as an extension to the sliding carriage. This is a simple way of providing a flat unobstructed worktable if the user prefers to do without the thrust strip or larger pieces have to be handled. It saves having to exchange the whole carriage.
