PURPOSE:To produce efficiently a foamed article reinforced with fibers, by subjecting a short fiber mat and longer fibers to needle punching to integrate them into matted fibers, impregnating them with a foamable resin liquid, and introducing them into a molding passage. CONSTITUTION:The reinforcing material 1 of matted fibers comprises integrated short fiber mat and longer fibers wherein the short fiber mat and longer fibers are layered, needles are stapled from the top and/or the undersurface, and they have been subjected to needle punching to become hairy in its thickness direction. This reinforcing material 1 is introduced into an impregnating die 3 into which a resin liquid is pumped via a resin liquid inlet 2 to impregnate the reinforcing material 1. Then the reinforcing material 1 is introduced into the molding passage enclosed by endless belts 41, and is moved together with the endless belts 41 to be foamed and cured to obtain the intended foamed article. |
