PURPOSE:To enable the detection of the spacing of the samples in the electrophoresis pattern by obtaining the data outside the fixed range of density fluctuation, even if there are discrepancies between the samples or differences of electrophoresis movements, after providing an optical slit at the center line of the first sample. CONSTITUTION:The point P where the density is the highest is searched by scanning along the center line of the first sample A of the multitest samples. Then the sample carrier is moved toward the X-axis and it is stopped at the middle point R between the samples B and C. Central point S of the sample B is obtained by determining the density fluctuation of sample (maximum and minimum points) and the difference of the maximum and minimum values (amount of variation) is obtained after discarding the values of excessive fluctuation, and then the range of sample B is determined from the data under the fixed value and it is made the middle point. The overall density of sample B can be measured by returning the sample carrier to the central point S and then to the starting point O along the Y-axis. When the sample is shifted toward the Y-axis, the measurement can be performed by using another slit with its opening along the Y-axis. |
