<p>The endoscope is partic. in the form of a resectoscope for the treatment of the urinary passage and bladder, having a surgical instrument in addition to the optical endoscope, enclosed in a common stem. On the outside, the stem (1) has one or more recesses (2) accommodating a lubricant, typically a spiral groove. The recesses at right angles to the stem axis can be sufficiently small but numerous to give increased surface roughness. The design avoids the need for introducing any additional lubricant while the operation is being carried out.</p> |
