Insulating cap for roll-type capacitor - fits over end of casing and into core tube and insulates winding from casing

An insulating cap for electrical roll-type capacitors, esp. power capacitors contained in a casing with core tube, consists of an integrally moulded guide tube (2) for mounting in the casing and an insert (4) which penetrates into the core tube (3). The insert (4) may be located stepped between two different levels. A portion (7) of the cap may also pass between the windings and the casing (not claimed). The insert may also possess projecting studs for the fixing of an insulating plate. The cap is simple to mfr. and fit onto the capacitor.
