PURPOSE:To contrive operation capacity of a heat pipe is not lowered even for a long time using, by a method wherein the heat pipe is formed by enclosing water as a working fluid and hydrogen preserving alloy such as Fe-Ti type or Mg-Ni type etc. in a vessel made of Al or its alloy. CONSTITUTION:The heat pipe 1 is made by containing and enclosing water (ion exchanging water or distilled water) 3 as a working fluid and hydrogen preserving alloy such as Mg-Ni type or Fe-Ti type etc. in the vessel 2 made of Al. When the heat pipe 1 composed of the above-mentioned structure is operated for a long time at the 100-250 deg.C, hydrogen gas is generated by the reaction of Al and water 3 which are composing materials of the vessel 2, and hydrogen gas moves to the condensing part 6 as a non condensive gas, and is absorbed by hydrogen preserving alloy 4 without staying near by said part 6, so the effective length of said condensing part 6 of the heat pipe 1 is not decreased, accordingly the heat pipe 1, which can be guaranteed the reliability for a long time without lowering the heat transfer capability, can be obtained. |
