PURPOSE:A skin color-lightening cosmetic that contains a placenta extract and a liver extract as active ingredients, thus being suitable for use in a skin color-lightening cosmetic such as lotion, cream or emulsion, because it manifest synergic effect superior to the lightening action of conventional cosmetics. CONSTITUTION:A placenta extract, preferably a human placenta extract, which has been known as a skin color-lightening component and used in such commer cially available cosmetics, and a liver aqueous extract of mammarians and birds are added to the cosmetic base. The amounts of the placenta extract and the liver extract are at a ratio of 10:(5-0.01) and sufficiently 0.1-10wt% and 0.01-5wt% in the cosmetic, respectively. The liver extract is obtained by washing animal livers with water, bleeding, grinding into a slurry and stirring together with an extraction solvent such as water in an amount 2 or 3 times that of the slurry, then subjected to protein separation and filtration. |
