Insulation material intended to be placed between a wall and a covering layer, being in the form of a sheet 1, made of synthetic material, having relief parts 2 which are intended to come into contact with the wall to be insulated, so as to form a plurality of channels allowing ventilation and the elimination of infiltration and/or condensation water. This material is in the form of boards of predetermined width, the said boards having, on their sides, rims 8, the height of which is at least equal to the height of the relief parts 2 and which are extended by two strips 9 enabling the said board to be fixed against the wall to be insulated. <IMAGE>
