The invention relates to a collector for semen, in particular mammal semen, which can be fitted to an artificial vagina which has the shape of a jacketed chuck. This collector is characterised in that it consists of a flexible and leaktight sleeve made of a heat-weldable plastic material, one of the ends 2 of which includes a self-blocking connection 3 allowing either the taking of pure semen samples or packaging after dilution, the other end 1 being welded and being able to be cut when the sleeve is fitted onto the vagina, a second self-blocking connection 4 situated next to the weld zone 8 allowing introduction of the diluent into the sleeve. <IMAGE>
