DRY PROCESS DEVELOPER AND IMAGE FORMING METHOD USING SAID DEVELOPER

PURPOSE:To obtain a developer which obviates filming or a cleaning defect of a latent image carrier and has an excellent cleaning effect by constituting the developer of a nonmagnetic toner and magnetic particles which have a specific true sp. gr., volume mean particle size and volume distribution and are coated with an electrical insulating resin. CONSTITUTION:This developer is constituted of the nonmagnetic toner and the magnetic particles which have <=6 true sp. gr., 40-65mum volume mean particle size and the volumetric distribution 5-20wt.% 28-35mum and <=5wt.%<28mum and are coated with the electrical insulating resin. Since the magnetic particles having the small grain sizes of <=35mum are incorporated into the developer in the above-mentioned manner, the small-diameter magnetic particles stick onto a latent image carrier to provide a grinding effect to grind and remove the toner. The excellent image having a high density is thereby obtd. from an initial period with the simple constitution. The developer which obviates the filming and cleaning defect of the latent image carrier even after long-term use and has the excellent cleaning characteristic is thus obtd.
