PURPOSE:To ensure an indication for a residual amount detection with respect to inks of two or more colors by a single display by conducting an ink residual amount indication for an ink residual amount detection for each of the inks of two or more colors by using a single display part. CONSTITUTION:A color recording head 23 connecting to a flow-out port 10 is connected to a pressure detection mechanism 22. The ink delivery of the color recording head 23 is controlled by a controller 24 receiving a contact output of the pressure detection mechanism 22 as one of input information. ln addition, a display 25 is connected to the controller 24, and the controller 24 indicates an ink residual amount detection to the display 25 on the basis of a contact ON of the pressure detection mechanism 22. When ink contained in any of ink bags 21Y, 21M, 21C in a color ink container 20 is consumed to be less than a specified amount, on the response of a pressure sensitive member in a pressure sensitive chamber connecting to the appropriate ink bag, a contact 6 is separated from an output contact 5. After judging the contact OFF, the controller 24 indicates a predetermined message on the display 25. With use of an LCD or the like capable of character indication as the display 25, an ink bag replacement can be warned in a sentence form. |
