A heat-shrinkable wrapping is composed of one heat-shrink item and one mechanical item. The heat-shrink part is a flat film; the other item is a reinforcement of a metal matrix in contact with the film over at least part of the area and it moves during the shrinking process. Instead of metal the reinforcement can also be (e.g.) polyethylene; the shrinkable material is pref. crosslinked etc. polyethylene or polybutene.
