Winding of plastics film tape into small rolls - uses system of guide rollers to guide tape from large storage roll

The plastics film tape (3) are unwound from a large storage roll (9) and wound onto small rolls (2). As the tape (3) is unwound from the large roll it passes around a jockey roller (10) which maintains the required tension in the tape. The tape then passes around a first guide roller (5) which is mounted with its axis horizontal. The tape then passes between a second and a third guide roller (7,6) which are mounted with their axes vertical, and then around a fourth guide roller (4) which has its axis horizontal, before being wound onto the roll (2). The vertical rollers (6,7) are mounted on a side which can be moved horiaontally at right angles to the line of the tape. USE/ADVANTAGE - The arrangement of guide rollers ensures that the tape is correctly guided onto the small roll.
