The relay has the first working contacts and the first lazy contacts linked by a coupling member and similarly for the second working and lazy contacts. Both pairs of contacts are returned by spring force. Each coupling member's resetting is independent of the movement of the other coupling member. The coupling members are moved independently by the armature (19). Even if one pair of sprung working contacts should weld together the movement of the armature as regards opening the other working contacts remains unaffected.
