PURPOSE: A washing machine is provided to increase beating-washing efficiency by installing an auxiliary punching device on the edge of a container for both washing and dehydrating. CONSTITUTION: The washing machine comprises: a container for both washing and dehydrating; a driving motor for rotating a rotary plate installed on the bottom of the container for both washing and dehydrating; a clutch for transmitting and regulating the driving power; a main washing punch for repeatedly moving upward and downward when the rotary plate rotates by the driving motor and the clutch.
