<p>PURPOSE:To arrange intake device which carries out both inertia supercharge and resonance supercharge between cylinder lines of a V-shaped multicylinder engine. CONSTITUTION:A pair of distribution chambers 111, 112 are arranged between cylinder lines 21 and 22, of a V-shaped multicylinder engine 1. The distribution chambers 111, 112 are connected to the far side cylinder lines 2 @ and 22, by means of long main intake pipes 131, 132, while connected to the near side cylinder lines 22, 21 by means of bypass intake pipes 131, 132. The main intake pipes 121, 122 and the bypass intake pipes 131, 132 are changed over to each other by means of pipe length changeover valves 15, 15 provided inside the bypass intake pipes 131, 132. Communication between the distribution chambers can be interrupted at a large-diameter communication passage 17 provided with an opening/closing valve 18. The distribution chambers 111, 112 are connected to a collection chamber 21 through resonance pipes 201, 202.</p> |
