PURPOSE: A flexible liquid crystal display element is provided by improving an electrode structure patterned on a plastic film substrate. CONSTITUTION: The crystal liquid display element comprises; transparent electrodes(26)(28) patterned on the two parallel plastic substrates(20)(22); a sealant(34) stuck to the film substrate; an orientation film laminated on the transparent electrode which is patterned on the plastic film; a transparent electrode(28) which with an etching on one end of the transparent electrode(26) has the main sealant(34) contact with the end sealant.
