PURPOSE:To realize personal computer communication with an excellent space efficiency by realizing a function of personal computer communication with a MODEM circuit and a communication processing circuit, retrieving automatically data addressed to a concerned station through a communication circuit and receiving and displaying the data. CONSTITUTION:A television broadcast is displayed on a display device 23 via an antenna 1, a tuner circuit 21 and a video processing circuit 22. Furthermore, a voice signal from a telephone line 120 is demodulated into a data signal by a MODEM circuit 24, a character signal (video signal) V2 is generated by a communication circuit 25 and displayed on the display device 23 via the processing circuit 22. A remote reception section 26 receives a remote control signal in terms of an infrared ray from a remote control terminal equipment 3 to control the circuit 25 or the other circuits. Furthermore, the character signal from the circuit 25 is received and displayed by an incoming signal display device 29. An audio signal A. of a TV broadcast and a character signal (audio signal) A2 from the communication circuit 25 are given to an audio processing circuit 27, which allows a speaker 28 to sound the signals. |
