PURPOSE:To simplify the adjustment of resonance frequency of an oscillation piece constituting an oscillator. CONSTITUTION:An oscillation gyro 10 is made of a plate member of light alloy, e.g. duralumin, and a pair of oscillation pieces 14, 16 are projecting from the base part 12. A relationship l2/sq. rt. (t2)=l1/sq. rt. (w1) is satisfied between the oscillation pieces 14, 16, where l1: length of the oscillation piece 14, w1: width of the oscillation piece along X axis, t1: thickness of the oscillation piece, l2: length of the oscillation piece, w2: width of the oscillation piece along X axis, and t2 (=t1): thickness of the oscillation piece. Each oscillation piece and the base part thereof are formed to satisfy the relationship. This structure allows matching of the resonance frequency in the X-axis direction when the oscillation piece 14 oscillates along the X-axis and the resonance frequency in the Y-axis direction when the oscillation piece 16 oscillates along the Y-axis. |
