PURPOSE:To provide a distribution device wherein its size and weight can be reduced, the size can be also reduced when a small amount of platelike objects are stored, the plate-like objects such as glass panes of different sizes can be stored without hindrance and the storing and takeout operations of the plate-like objects can be made easy. CONSTITUTION:A distribution device comprises a mounting frame 2 made into the form of a H when seen from side face with vertically extending posts 3 and 4 at its front and rear to permit horizontally arranged glass panes G to be supported thereon and consisting of a combination of a plurality of stacking units 1. The lower ends of the posts 3 and 4 of one unit 1 above are mounted on the upper ends of the posts 3 and 4 of the other unit 1 below to form a structure which permits the units 1 to be stacked in a plurality of tiers and each unit 1 is provided with a connecting mechanism (40 clamps and 45 hooks) to separably interconnect the stacked units 1.
