<p>PURPOSE:To provide the subject device designed to reduce mechanical power consumption while enabling selection of picking speed pattern according to weft kind and loom operation at higher speed. CONSTITUTION:Rapier bands 2, 7 fixedly fitted with rapier heads 1, 8 are woundly linked to rapier wheels 3, 5, respectively. The revolutions of unidirectionally revolving servomotors 15, 15A are converted into the reciprocating swinging motions of swinging levers 11, 11A through connecting rods 17, 17A, respectively. These reciprocating swinging motions are, in turn, converted into the reciprocating revolutions of rapier wheels 3, 5 through segment gears 10, 10A, respectively. The revolving speeds of the servomotors 15, 15A are controlled by a control computer C.</p> |
