PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent excessive stresses from being incurred in the inner race of a rolling bearing for a bearing device when both the ends of a shaft body are squeezed by rolling. SOLUTION: This invention is concerned with a bearing device A ion which a rolling bearing 2 is outwardly fitted in the outer circumference of one shaft part 1b of a shaft body 1 provided with a large diameter part 1a at the halfway in the axial direction in such a way that the rolling bearing 2 is retained so as to be fixed to the shaft body 1, at one shaft end part 1b, a circumferential groove 1e is formed in a place corresponding to the outer end corner part of the inner circumferential surface of the inner race 2a of the rolling bearing 2. The existence of the circumferential groove 1e thereby prevents a swelled part 1d to be formed out by rolling squeeze from abutting against the outer end corner part of the inner race 2a of the rolling bearing 2 when both the ends of the shaft body 1 are rolled so as to be squeezed. |
