Mobile football goal with integral light barriers

A mobile football goal of the normal size has an electronic system of light barriers (1) built into the aluminium frame of the goal mouth. These criss-cross the goal mouth both vertically and horizontally. They are monitored by a computer behind the goal mouth which detects any interruption of the light beams caused by the passing through of a football. This is linked to a numbered display board on which the presence and position of good shots is thereby indicated. The system is particularly suitable for use in eleven-metre shoot-outs where the view of the football's movement in the goal area is often obscured by the presence of the goalkeeper. It ensures a precise, indisputable and neutral evaluation of each shot which is not subject to human error.
