Hydraulically operated gear shift

The shift has alternately operating pistons (4a,4b) inside a pressure cylinder (3). The pistons move a connecting bolt (5) which acts on a device setting the position of a sliding transmission coupling (23). A setter on a fixing device (24) on the pressure cylinder enables the cylinder tube to turn round its longitudinal axis for different gear switching paths. The piston and cylinder assembly (2) fits mainly inside the transmission casing (1).
