The invention relates to a coated filter element which is provided for removing fine particles from gas or liquids and which is comprised of an inherently rigid porous base body made of a sintered thermoplastic. The filter element is also comprised of a finely porous surface layer which is tightly connected to the base body and which faces the medium to be purified. The surface layer is comprised of a thermoplastic copolymer, and the filter element is preferably constructed as a tube or consists of a plurality of tubes. |
