Automatic parking system for vehicles

The automatic parking system has at least two parking planes (A-G) with rows (R1,R2) of parking boxes (P1-Pn). At least one horizontally and vertically movable transport device (T1-T8) for transporting a vehicle is allotted to the relevant number of parking planes whereby the transport devices are movable in a common vertical plane (V). A common drive-in plane and a common exit plane are provided for taking in and delivering the vehicles for all transport devices. The entrance boxes can be arranged opposite the exit boxes. The number of entrance and exit boxes can correspond at least to the number of parking planes.
