PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve recording and reproducing characteristics by forming at least a recording layer and a light transparent layer on a substrate, forming at least >=2 layers of inorg. material layers consisting of inorg. materials on the light transparent layer, incorporating a specific material into the inorg. material layers and further specifying the refractive index of the inorg. material layers. SOLUTION: Silicon nitride is incorporated into the first inorg. material layer 6 of the optical disk formed with at least >=2 layers of the inorg. material layers on the light transparent layer 5 and silicon oxide is incorporated into the second inorg. material layer 7. Further, the refractive index of at least one layer of >=2 layers of the inorg. material layers is specified to 1.7 to 2.5 and the refractive index of at least one layer of the two layers is specified to 1.2 to 1.7. Further, a lubricating layer of a thickness <=10 microns contg. a fluorine compd. is formed on the inorg. material layers. As a result, the reflectivity on the surface of the light transparent layer 5 is eventually suppressed as far as possible and an interference phenomenon is suppressed as far as possible. The coefft. of surface friction is suppressed as far as possible by the lubricating layer. |
