PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display ordinary printed matters or television pictures without necessity for a viewer to wear any special tool by watching a laterally inverted image through a reflection mirror with one eye and watching the other image directly with the other eye. SOLUTION: A left image 3 to be watched by the left eye 1 and a right image 4 to be watched by the right eye 2 are prepared. A laterally inverted image 5 of the right image 4 is prepared. In the case of a photograph, a negative film is turned out and printed and in the case of a television, the scanning signals of scanning lines are electrically inverted. On the same plane, the left image 3 is arranged on the left side and the inverted right image 5 is arranged on the right side. A plane mirror 7 is placed through the border line of both the images so that the side of the right image can be front almost vertically to a plane formed from both the images, the left image is watched by the left eye so that the mirror can come near the nose of a center between both the left and right eyes, and a reflected image 6 of the inverted image 5 of the right image is watched through the mirror by the right eye. The reflected image 6 is watched in the same direction of the source image 4 and its position looks like a position where the left image 3 is located so that both the images are naturally overlapped and a three-dimensional image can be reproduced. |
