PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To form a synthetic image that is easy to be read about plural originals which have different formats. SOLUTION: Basically, a scanner 12 reads an image from plural originals that are set at prescribed positions and each read image is flatly arranged to form one synthetic image. Concretely, this device has an original size and direction detecting part 11 which detects the set direction of an original and a controlling part 10 which compares detection results of the part 11 with a reference set direction that is preliminarily set by an operation of an operating part 17 and processes according to an instruction that is preliminarily set (interruption/continuation of synthetic processing) when both are different from each other. Furthermore, plural originals are set by an operator in a set direction that corresponds to a format. |
