PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reproduce the images of characters or the like recorded on a transmission original with fidelity without generating spotting or blurring. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a digital filter processing circuit 4 for performing strong edge emphasis to image data inputted from an image reading part 1 when the image of the transmission original is read by the image reading part 1 and a gradation correcting processing circuit 5 for removing a low density part caused by shading peculiar to the transmission original from thus strongly edge emphasized image data. |
