An elastically deformable polyform wheel is susceptible of adopting multiple shapes which correspond to efforts derived from various working situations. The wheel is comprised of a central element which includes the rotational axis of said wheel, and intermediate elastically deformable element, connection and rigidification means, and an external tyre. The elastically deformable intermediate element may consist of a continuous, solid and compacted mass, or of individual elements such as appropriately curved, rigid metal sections which extend between the central element and the tyre support, or it may consist of damping elements which are situated radially between said central element and said tyre support, the elements being configured like spokes which are angularly equidistant. The connection and rigidification means may also consist of a steel band and a conformer means of a caterpillar type. This arrangement provides a multideformable wheel which keeps constant its perimetral length. |
