PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a skin preparation for external use having a temperature- sensitive effect with excellent durability free from irritation to skin by using a vanillyl alcohol alkyl ether and another temperature-sensitive agent. SOLUTION: This skin preparation comprises (A) a vanillyl alcohol alkyl ester and (B) an agent selected from (i) an agent selected from Guinea pepper powder, Guinea pepper tincture, Guinea pepper essence, essence of rhizome of Zingiber officinale, tincture of rhizome of Zingiber officinale, butyl-[(3,4- methylenedioxy)benzyl]ether, capsaicine and shogool, (ii) an isovanillyl alcohol derivative of formula I (R1 is a 3-6C alkyl), (iii) an ethylvanillyl alcohol derivative of formula II (R2 is a 4-6C alkyl), (iv) a veratryl alcohol derivative of formula III (R3 is a 3-6C alkyl) and (v) a substituted benzyl alcohol derivative of formula IV (R4 to R6 are each H, hydroxyl or the like). |
