PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic card which is difficult to forge or alterate and high in security. SOLUTION: This magnetic card 10 is provided with a sheet-like card base material made of paper, plastic, etc., stripe magnetic recording layers 2, 3 which are provided at parts (different positions) equivalent to widths to be scanned by two not-shown magnetic heads on this material 1 and are made of the magnetic materials of mutually different magnetic characteristics for recording magnetic information and a protecting layer 5 provided by covering one main surface of the material 1 so as to bury these layers 2 and 3. Since two trucks of magnetic recording layers 2 and 3 of different magnetic characteristic are provided in the case of this card 10, magnetic information can be recorded and reproduced so as to differentiate magnetic characteristic for every two trucks of the layers 2 and 3 provided to be irreducibly minimum by the two magnetic heads. |
