PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe method by which a physiologically active material can be immobilized on a metallic surface easily. SOLUTION: The measuring chip for biosensor is composed of a metallic surface or a metallic film formed on a substrate which has been treated with a compound expressed by the general formula I: X-A-Y (wherein, X, denotes a heterocyclic group including Z-Z (Z: S, Se, P) bond, A denotes an aliphatic group, aromatic group, heterocyclic group, or a coupled group selected from among the combinations of the groups, and Y denotes a functional group which is covalently bonded to the physiologically active material).
